Spring Mills Jr. Cardinals | Home Playoff Weekend

This past weekend, I stopped by the Spring Mills Jr. Cardinals home playoff games — no clients, no assignments, just me, my camera, and the love for the game. Sometimes the best moments come when you’re just out there capturing the energy, passion, and grind that makes youth sports special.


From the first whistle to the last play, the Jr. Cardinals showed heart and teamwork that reminds you why community football is so powerful. I caught a few shots from the sidelines — raw emotion, big plays, and moments these young athletes will never forget.

Lacrosse Action at Spring Mills – Photo Gallery Now Live

​ This past weekend I had the opportunity to do something new behind the lens capture lacrosse for the first time at the Spring Mills Lacrosse Fest in Martinsburg, West Virginia. As a sports photographer, I always enjoy stepping into new environments and learning the flow of different sports. Lacrosse was fast, physical, and full of energy, which made it a lot of fun to photograph. From quick stick checks to fast breaks and goal celebrations, there were plenty of great moments throughout the games. I was able to capture action shots from several teams that participated in the scrimmage games during the event. It was great seeing athletes competing, working hard, and getting ready for the upcoming season. Can Washington Make History Against State Champs Spring Mills?

​ Tonight, all eyes in West Virginia high school basketball will be on Washington High School, as the No. 4 ranked Washington Patriots host the defending state champions and No. 2 ranked Spring Mills Cardinals in one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. This marks the second meeting between these two programs. Their first matchup on January 6, 2026, was a lopsided affair, with Spring Mills controlling the game from start to finish in a 61–38 victory. Since that loss, Washington has responded in a big way. The Patriots enter tonight’s contest 5–0 since January 6, carrying an impressive 11–1 overall record. They’ve found their rhythm on both ends of the floor and now have a chance on their home court to become the first West Virginia team to defeat Spring Mills since February 1, 2025.
